Nothing Stops This Train Nothing stops this train from hurtling down this track No force of nature can get in the way I hear that whistle blow and there’s no turning back Full steam ahead or there’ll be hell to pay Through heat and the dust Night into day Straight to your heart I will find a way to get back home Cause nothing stops this train Worked my way across the desert west of here Settled in the big smoke for a time Found that girl she shook my world then disappeared Now I can’t seem to get her off my mind Through heat and the dust Night into day Straight to your heart I will find a way to get back home Cause nothing stops this train She rattled me just like those steel wheels upon this track Stoked the fires black coal heart burning bright Bells were ringing screeching brakes pressure pushing back All bets are off when true love takes a bite Cause nothing stops this train Through heat and the dust Night into day Straight to your heart I will find a way Through heat and the dust Night into day Straight to your heart I will find a way to get back home Cause nothing stops this train Nothing stops this train from hurtling down this track No force of nature can get in the way © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Live Another Day Well I got too many guitars Think I might need one more I’m gonna look to the future It’s gotta be better than before They can’t see the sense in it I can’t pay the rent and it hurts me every single day So we take another step and we’re Still not ready yet and we play To live another day Well you might think I do nothing While you’re working nine to five each day....but I write the soundtrack to your life So you know the right words to say And maybe you can’t see the sense in it I can’t pay the rent and it hurts me every single day So we take another step and we’re Still not ready yet but we play To live another day To live another day And I will spend all night and day Looking for the perfect way To make her fall in love today with you That’s just what I do They can’t see the sense in it I can’t pay the rent and it hurts me every single day So we take another step and we’re Still not ready yet and we play Baby they can’t see the sense in it I can’t pay the rent and it hurts me every single day So we take another step and we’re Still not ready yet and we play To live another day © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead/Lorraine Baker) Control/APRA

Something Good I get through every other day Knowing your heart’s a world away I’m still trying to work out what to do About me, and you We weren’t expected to agree We have the right to see things differently Cause when it comes down to the line You’ll see, in time So tell me why do things have to be this way Tell me why does life have to hurt this way Tell me why is love such an intricate game When I’m trying to hold on To something good And so I speak these words of love to you Cause in the end it’s all that I can do Oh, I’m missing you So tell me why do things have to be this way Tell me why does life have to hurt this way Tell me why is love such an intricate game When I’m trying to hold on To something good Walking down this avenue Not knowing where to turn So tell me why So tell me why do things have to be this way Tell me why does life have to hurt this way Tell me why is love such an intricate game When I’m trying to hold on So tell me why do things have to be this way Tell me why does life have to hurt this way Tell me why is love such an intricate game When I’m trying to hold on To something good © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead/Mick Jones) Control/APRA

Putting Up Fences Is there nothing that I could say That would change your mind And every moment of every day I’m reminded of the things that were left behind And it doesn’t matter Who was wrong or right Cause I’ll make it good tonight But you been puttin’ up fences And I been breakin’ them down Trying to find the high ground I been stuck in the trenches Sinking deeper down Think i’m lost and found without you It's funny how everything can change In just one heartbeat Now i’m back on the road to find out And there’ll be no rest no I’m not gonna sleep Well it doesn’t matter Who was wrong or right Cause I’ll find you there tonight And you been puttin’ up fences And I been breakin’ them down Trying to find the high ground I been stuck in the trenches Sinking deeper down Think i’m lost and found without you Alright Now there must be a way I can make you stay Tonight I won’t ever let you down ... again And it doesn’t matter Who was wrong or right Cause I’ll make it good tonight You been puttin’ up fences And I been breakin’ them down Trying to find the high ground I been stuck in the trenches Sinking deeper down Think i’m lost and found And you been puttin’ up fences And I been breakin’ them down Trying to find the high ground I been stuck in the trenches Sinking deeper down Think i’m lost and found without you You been puttin' up fences baby I've been pulling them down, pulling them down You been puttin' up fences baby And I've been pulling them down, pulling them down Yeah © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Country Boy At Heart You can drive me round in a long black limousine And I could send you roses by the score You can try to keep me in the style you think I should be seen But you can’t try to keep me safe by locking my front door Sometimes I got to get away I miss you when we’re apart Girl I’m just a country boy at heart Yeah I’m just a country boy at heart Well I can try to fit into the city way of life And we could live in luxury and style But at the end of every working week I start to feeling fine Cause I’m taking myself out bush just for a while Chorus Sometimes I miss that big blue sky Midday sun shine in my eye Sometimes I’m just a thousand miles away When I’m alone I think of you And feel those good times coming through I don’t know whether I should go I wonder whether I should stay SOLO Well I know you’re not too taken with the peace and all the quiet And I know that you prefer your city ways But baby when I go walkabout Everything gonna be all right And honey you know i’ll think ‘bout you Just most everyday Sometimes I got to get away I miss you when we’re apart Girl I’m just a country boy at heart Sometimes I got to get away I miss you when we’re apart You know I’m just a country boy at heart Hey I’m just a country boy at heart © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Love Gone Wrong You can drink all the whiskey you want to You can smoke every last cigarette You might hurt in the night, pray that you’ll be all right But the heartache isn’t over yet And if I hurt you then I’m sorry I just don’t know what else I can say It’s just love gone wrong You can hear all about it in this song And when love’s gone wrong Boy you walk that road alone You can the right words when you need to You can whisper when the time seems right It’ll cut her pride, hurt so bad inside And you’re still by yourself tonight And you’ll regret it, that’s too bad You just should have taken more pride It’s just love gone wrong You can hear all about it in this song And when love’s gone wrong Boy you walk that road alone And I remember that night But don't remember the situation I only know it’s not right That we should end this way It’s just love gone wrong You can hear all about it in this song And when love’s gone wrong Boy you walk that road alone © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Way Back When He watched those highway signs But he still couldn't get her off his mind Jumped in the truck left his world behind For a while He can't forget her These things are never easy And he'll never Make those mistakes again Can't regret the Dreams they had together When she loved him Way back when She set his heart aflame Now there’s no one but himself to blame Wishing he could go back there again To better days, better days CHORUS When their love was new And there weren’t nothing he could do To stop those feelings inside Though he can’t forget those days Time goes on and fades away The dreams and the memories Are washed out with the tide CHORUS © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Highway 9 03:50
Highway 9 It was such a long time ago If memory serves me well And I got nothing here left to show Except stories I could tell Highway 9 on the desert road Wind blowin’ through your hair Moon shines cross the empty sky En route to who knows where One way ticket with a lonely heart Takes me back in time And we both found our destiny Out on highway nine You can call it a twist of fate Somewhere far from home And I still hold a candle for you Whenever I’m alone When half a second can change a life One word can break a heart But sometimes words just ain’t enough When fate keeps you apart One way ticket with a lonely heart Takes me back in time And we both found our destiny Out on highway nine And you keep tuning in No matter where I’ve been Sometimes nobody wins Ever ever no no no It was such a long time ago One way ticket with a lonely heart Takes me back in time And we both found our destiny Out on highway nine © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Storms 04:03
Storms It took a lifetime to get here ‘cause I was someone else Got too hard to live the lies you tell yourself Broke the ties that confined me Learned to love again And every word you say reminds me of who I am And every time I look at you I know the reason why I went through storms to find you Slam those doors behind you Don’t let the past define you Turn the page and don’t look down There’s nothing safe and nothing certain Shut it down and draw the curtains We can change and stop the hurting And when you're around You lift me up and now I stand on solid ground Turned my back on those who loved me Hit the road where I could hide Found my place and now you’re standing by my side And everything they see with their eyes Isn’t always what it seems I guess the truth was closer to somewhere in between And every time I think of you I know the reason why CHORUS I can feel and dream and I can be me I can be the man I never knew And nothing in my past can ever hurt me Now I belong and I feel strong When i’m here with you

I Believe 03:53
I Believe She came out of nowhere to the city Looking for the life she’d seen In some magazine She turned her back on fear and pity Thinking of a future Like she’d had in dreams Sometimes the hands of love drag you down And sometimes the truth is hard to see But I believe, that life only gets better And I believe, your heart will find it’s own way I believe, right down to the letter That the love you feel Depends upon the love you give away And she feels somewhere skies are moving To wash away the empty space That she feels inside And that could be hope up in the distance Reaching out to touch her hand And bring a change of tide Maybe the words of truth are hard to hear But don’t let your chances slip away Cause I believe, that life only gets better And I believe, your heart will find it’s own way I believe, right down to the letter That the love you feel Depends upon the love you give away And we can run but never hide From our own fate And somewhere there’s a place Where our road leads, and we can breathe And sometimes the words of love just ring so true Cause I believe, that life only gets better And I believe, your heart will find it’s own way I believe, right down to the letter That the love you feel Depends upon the love you give away © 2020 (Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA

Jeremiah’s Ghost Town Sitting at the station Where the trains rolled by Chill in the air as the tired sun lay down He thought of how this town had been As he gazed at the church that would see no sin And so many secrets buried deep underground The picture hall now a haunted house Full of the ghosts of Jeremiah’s past The old train yard where they had their first kiss Long hot days and sweet cool nights That river flowed right through their lives But summer ain’t the same In a place like this They’d gather at the Goose and Hound to wash the dry day down Where the stories came and went and some were true Of rodeos, musters, cattle rustlers Carpet baggers and two bit hustlers And travel weary souls just passing through Then they stole the water, In the middle of a drought Big money came drove the farmers out. And the Mines dug it up, then let them down Now it’s Jeremiah’s ghost town There’s old man Pete at the general store The Wainwright’s, always open door And their dozen dirty barefoot towhead kids And the tin roof house where he was born Just rust and dust and so forlorn But her spirit still lives on in this old town Well you can’t see the future with your head in the sand All these people never fit their plans They took everything away and washed their hands Of Jeremiah’s ghost town © 2020 (Lorraine Baker/Glenn Bidmead) Control/APRA
